A POD-Galerkin reduced order model for a LES filtering approach

We propose a Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD)-Galerkin based Reduced Order Model (ROM) for Leray model. For the implementation of model, we combine two-step algorithm called Evolve-Filter (EF) with computationally efficient finite volume method. The main novelty proposed approach relies in applying spatial filtering both collection snapshots and reduced order as well considering pressure field at level. In steps EF algorithm, velocity fields are approximated by using different POD basis coefficients. reconstruction pressures fields, use Poisson equation approach. test our ROM on two benchmark problems: 2D 3D unsteady flow past cylinder Reynolds number 0 <= Re 100. accuracy model is assessed against results obtained full case, parametric study respect to radius also presented.
